This is our eight installment of ´Not a Wine Dinner´, this time around with Eli Silins of Philly´s Camuna Cellars. In this format, you will be seated at a communal table with a wine maker, try several wines from them over a family-style meal. It is casual, a great way to learn about wine from their perspective but there is a loose format and conversations are organic. These dinners are always a great time.
Eli Silins created Camuna Cellars in Berkeley, California before moving the operation to a northeast Philly industrial space in 2019. Once settled in the mid-Atlantic, Eli got to work exploring the region's vast agricultural offerings. Eli's passion is infectious– he is endlessly curious about all things fermentable. In addition to wine, he also makes cider, mead, and cyser. The mid-Atlantic region has become a fitting home for Eli and his wife/business partner Molly Nadav– there's no shortage of quality grapes and apples for Eli to experiment with. All Camuna Cellars libations are fermented, aged, and bottled in their space in northeast Philadelphia. The fruit is sourced from sustainable farms within the mid-Atlantic. The wines are certified Kosher by Green Mountain Kosher. Eli's wines are vibrant, honest, and downright delicious. Camuna Cellars is the second urban winery that we are hosting and we're so excited to welcome Eli to Bloomsday! We hope to see you there!
