Erin Rasmussen is turning the US wine industry upside down. She’s not based in California, or Washington state. She doesn’t produce Cabernet Sauvignon or Chardonnay. Instead, she solely works with American hybrid varietals and is based in Mineral Point, Wisconsin.

Erin formed American Wine Project in 2018 and her line-up is truly impressive. She produces a large variety of wines, from piquettes and pet’nats to single-vineyard bottlings. Each wine is a chance to learn about an under-represented varietal. The wines also pretty freaking delicious! We’re thrilled to host Erin here at Bloomsday for an evening of mid-western hybrids!
